Job Description

Location: Long Crendon, UK

As part of the fight against Covid, in partnership with our key clients, Softbox has developed and implemented one of the world’s largest fleets of reusable temperature-controlled packaging solutions and established two world class service centres to support the refurbishment and reuse of Ultra Low Temperature (ULT) Shippers.

The Program Analyst will be responsible for providing data analytics and business intelligence to support the effective planning, deployment and evaluation of systems required in fleet management – committed to transforming data into readable, goal-driven reports for continued innovation and advancement of Softbox reuse products and services.

The key objective for this role is to understand how data flows through process, where it comes from and who uses it – what transactions does it drive across the business, whilst determining the value.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Shared ownership and responsibility for the Softbox Pfizer fleet of ULT Shippers
    • Asset tracking system and database management
    • Stock control and fleet maintenance
    • Demand planning and forecasting
    • Refurbishment and replacement
  • Develop, implement, and maintain analytic systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks.
  • Identify trends and opportunities through analysis of complex data sets.
  • Evaluate organisational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for data sets.
  • Create best-practice reports based through data mining, analysis, and visualization techniques.
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data/processes.
  • Work directly with management and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships.
    • Work closely with ULT leadership and service centre managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytical needs, including identifying critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.
    • Proactively analyse data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance, investigating and communicating areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
    • Create and maintain rich interactive visualisations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources.
    • Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting appropriate combination of methods and tools within defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution
    • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets.
    • Responsibility for delivering timely, complete and accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports, KPIs and ad hoc analyses as required for customer and management needs” – this would include all the regular client reports.
    • Regular reconciliation of data to ensure fleet data is timely, completely and accurately recorded on relevant systems, following up on any issues as necessary to work with colleagues to resolve any process, system or other root cause issues
    • Alignment and reconciliation of data with 3rd party database platforms and SOPs – specifically Logger RTM Devices.

KPIs

  • All KPIs will initially be focused on driving continuous improvement initiatives associated with the Softbox Pfizer ULT Shipper Fleet Management program.
    • Database management

    • On-time reporting of dashboard data

Person Specification

  • Educated to Bachelor’s degree preference Business, Computer Science or Related Field.
  • 5 years Program Analyst, Management Analyst or Relevant Field.
  • Asset tracking and fleet management systems management.
  • Demonstrate ability to connect previously disconnected data sets.
  • Strong knowledge of a reporting packages, database systems.
  • Focus on Root Cause analysis and improvements, not easily distracted from what the data shows, even when it is not the popular thing to say / do.
  • Data Driven – speaks with facts and questions those who say “I think” or “I believe” – challenges other to demonstrate what they mean.
  • Ability to manage up and across the organisation.
  • Detailed in both observation and analysis.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of multiple databases and software systems.
  • Ability to collect and analyse complex sets of data.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
