COVID-19 UPDATE

Since entering into lockdown at a number of our global locations, we have successfully managed to maintain production levels for all our product lines and also meet increasing customer demand, whilst continuing to focus on the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, their families and our valued customers and partners around the world.

We continue to focus on new ways of working, including video conferencing which is enabling us to seamlessly communicate and collaborate on a daily basis.

All of our manufacturing facilities have implemented shift separation policies to prevent risk of cross contamination between staff, and warehouse staff have been provided with PPE where required.

Our Senior Management Steering Committee meets daily and continues to closely monitor all government and local health agency updates in the regions and countries where we operate.

 

Supply Chain and Stock Holding

Softbox® is classed as a Key Supplier to the pharmaceutical and food industries.

Secure supply chain and operational procedures ensure we can maintain standard lead times and service levels during these challenging times.

We continue to increase our safety stock levels of high demand products throughout our network. Double shifts have been implemented where necessary, to meet all the orders, and when required, we have the capacity to increase production in some of our locations.

Softbox® continues to partner with multiple logistics providers each of whom have established distribution networks and the ability to offer alternative transport routes and modes when needed.

It is our commitment and assurance that we will continue to do everything within our power to maintain a robust and secure supply chain for the critical temperature control packaging solutions our valued customers require. We will continue to work closely together with our employees, suppliers, and our customers to navigate these difficult times.

With increasing uncertainty becoming part of our everyday lives and continuing outbreaks of Coronavirus (Covid-19) around the world, we at Softbox® continue to focus on the health, safety and well-being of our employees, their families and our valued customers and partners around the world.

A Senior Management Steering Committee has been established and continues to closely monitor all government and local health agency updates in the regions and countries where we operate.

All of our facilities have implemented risk mitigation plans and business continuity strategies to help prevent the spread of the virus and ensure continued product supply to our valued global customers.

 

People

Working from home practices have been implemented where possible to protect our most vulnerable employees and assist with social distancing polices in each of global facilities. Communication systems have been extended to allow our global teams to remain connected and accessible at all times, regardless of location. All internal and external meetings are being held remotely unless face to face meetings are absolutely unavoidable, in which case meetings will be held with caution. All but essential business travel has been curtailed.

Our training programmes have been reinforced to ensure all of our production staff can be redeployed when needed in order to meet increasing demand with immediate effect.

All of our manufacturing facilities have implemented shift separation policies to prevent risk of cross contamination between staff, together with robust start up and shut down cleaning procedures to again mitigate risk of cross contamination. Should demand dictate a fourth shift can be implemented.

 

Supply Chain

Our supply chains remain robust with no current delivery issues being identified. Each of our supply partners have implemented similar risk mitigation strategies to help reduce the risk of spreading the virus further and to prepare for any disruption within their supply chains.

Stock Holding

Softbox® operates on a global platform with manufacturing sites in the UK, Netherlands, USA, Latin America, India and Singapore. We continue to hold and increase safety stock levels of high demand products throughout our network.

Softbox® remains diligent and alert to customer demand in this fast-changing situation. We are ready to react to altering circumstances as necessary.
